What we do: We tap dance.
We fuse a modern and energetic tap dance style together with influences from tap dancers of past generations to provide a dynamic, classy and vibrant dance sensation to amaze audiences of any age.
But tap dance isn't where it ends.....
We also blend our dance style with the rhythms of other performers from a range of different cultures, such as Irish dancers and musicians, African drummers, and didgeridoo players. This results in an immensely enjoyable and unique performance experience to astound and energize our audience from start to finish.

The idea for Red Hot Rhythm (RHR) originated in 2006 and aimed to provide a new and original tap dance concept for the Queensland market in recognition of the lack of local, high quality tap dance performance and tuition currently on offer. An added objective was to give Queensland based performers a home, and encourage them to assist in the development of the local arts scene, rather than taking their skills interstate.
As a result of this vision RHR was formed in early 2007, and since then our performers have worked tirelessly to build and expand the company. With the current troupe of dancers and musicians, a significant performance repertoire, several successful performances, and a recently successful government funding application from the Gold Coast City Council, Red Hot Rhythm is set to become a leading force in the Queensland tap-dance industry.
The company aims to push the boundaries of tap dance in Australia through experimentation with the art form in new and unique ways, such as the incorporation of aspects of Celtic and African culture. However we also aspire to recognise the influence of renowned performers from the golden age of tap dance, with the inclusion of more traditional styles. In blending these methods we strive to recapture the magic of tap-dance to provide an innovative and original performance experience for dancers and audiences alike.
